Tija Lea Glavan
But her path is slightly different. Despite a strong desire to become a hairdresser and beautician, she decided to enrol in a grammar school to study secondary education. After three years, she realised that this was simply not the right choice and decided to follow her dream, so she enrolled in hairdressing school. She took her first practical steps under the tutelage of top hairdresser and educator Dejan Nikolić and, already as part of the school organisation, presented her first collection, Connection, which was also presented at a fashion show in the festival hall. She continued her education at the MicStyling Academy and then worked for a while in the MicStyling salon in the Crystal Palace. She gained further knowledge under Simon Volčič, and then continued with the excellent mentor and colourist Mateo Bogataja. She also attended many training courses on colouring and haircutting with experts such as Gareth Williams, Sanja Karasman, Boris Dragan, Marko Oblak, Rok Švajger, Tomaž Piškur, Ažbe Koščak, etc. She also received barbering training from Benjamin Oručević and Benjamin Sivić, and attended seminars and training courses on hair extensions with lectures by Zvonimir Franić, Marko Svenda and Barbara Zupan Novak. The next step was joining the medinmleko team, where, under the mentorship of Saša Kersnik, she gained knowledge as her personal assistant and, after a successful year of working together, she started working as an independent hairdresser.
